Welcome to Carroll County, Virginia. Carroll County is located on the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. It is bounded by Patrick County on the southeast, Floyd County on the east, Pulaski and Wythe Counties on the north, Grayson County and Galax on the west, and Surry County North Carolina on the south. The Town of Hillsville, which is the county’s only incorporated town, is the seat of the county government. Carroll County is located 68 miles southwest of Roanoke, Virginia, 111 miles east of Bristol, Virginia-Tennessee, and 65 miles northwest of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
